Rishi Sethuraj
Hi, my name is Rishi Sethuraj and I am so excited to work with esSTEMtials to teach kids STEM this summer! I am a rising senior at Lightridge High School and the Academy of Science with a passion for teaching. Attending my STEM-focused magnet school has educated and inspired me to make an impact on a larger scale. My pathway in thefield of material science was successful and enriching due to my research project on zinc-air batteries. Along with my chess programs startups catered for elementary school students, I felt a sense of belonging and a desire to achieve more. Even as a high schooler, I want to be able to instill the foundations of STEM in the lives of younger students and create the same excitement that I once discovered. Teaching kids has always made me happy and being given the opportunity to work with esSTEMtials has allowed me to contribute to my community in a meaningful way. Continuing to inspire future generations and advancing STEM knowledge in the world is something I have found joy in and will continue to do so in correspondence withthis program. I am extremely elated to see what this summer will look like at the esSTEMtials program due to the immense potential of these young students!

I’ve always had a deep passion for all things STEM, and I love to learn new things every day! I wish to fuel the sparks of curiosity in all of the kids involved in esSTEMtials and help them think like a true scientist. I have experience from being in my schools FRC Robotics team, and general experience with 3D printing and other STEM activities. But most importantly, I love to have fun while learning about STEM!

I have always had a great passion for engineering and STEM ever since I was young. I always loved the ability to create something that I thought up on my own. I am now a rising sophomore at Briar Woods High School and the Academies of Loudoun where I further pursue my passion of engineering. My ongoing experimentation and studies have only increased my love for STEM which I’ve had since I was little. Through esSTEMtials, I wish to share all that I have learned and foster the same love that I have in STEM in new minds. My education and curiosity have given me a unique view on STEM and enable me to help open the door for others to experience it!

Srinidhi Deekonda
Hi there! I'm Srinidhi, and I believe that every child has the potential to be a scientist, engineer, or inventor. Growing up, I found school to be a bit rigid and found myself yearning for a more interactive and engaging way to learn about these subjects. I soon realized that children need more than textbooks to not only truly grasp these topics, but also find their fascination. To accomplish this, I plan to revolutionize the way kids perceive STEM education by making esSTEMtials a place where children can not only explore, but also make mistakes, and learn from them. I strive to ignite a genuine passion for STEM in the hearts of countless young minds by fostering creativity, curiosity, and especially hands-on exploration. By combining my love for both STEM and teaching kids, I aim to make a lasting impact on young minds and nurture the next generation of innovators.

I have always loved and had an extensive interest in STEM. STEM is the foundation for many things as it sprouts small concepts like moon phases and evolves to staggering topics like AI technology. As a teacher at esSTEMtials, I would like to inspire a STEM passion in the new generations of the world. Teaching kids has always been a special thing in my life because I feel that kids should have a mentor figure in their lives during a young age besides their parents who can teach them topics they never even knew existed.
